About Mecklenburg Extension Master Gardener Volunteers

We're dedicated gardening enthusiasts who've expanded our horticultural education and skills to assist the public on a wide range of gardening topics.
  • Our Horticulture HELP Desk answers gardening questions by email.
  • We have Ask a Master Gardener booths at three farmers markets.
  • We also host seminars and hands-on workshops for adults and children throughout Mecklenburg County.
  • Through our Speakers Bureau, we provide research-based information on a variety of topics.
  • Our Demonstration Garden at Freedom Park provides beautiful additions to the park, while helping us hone our gardening skills.
